The Education Innovation Lab is a space to prototype the tech-rich future of education, where experimentation around new technologies, teaching practices, and partnerships can be explored. It offers a safe space for educators to innovate and "fail fast" while refining best practices and trying new ideas.

Prototype the future of education

The Education Innovation Lab will be a space for innovation, exploration and prototyping of ways that new technologies can influence, impact and enhance the future of education at Swinburne. It will build strong partnerships across Swinburne, including IT and I&E and external ed tech companies.

The lab will encourage educators to think differently about how technology can transform our educational offerings, and the student experience both now and into the future.

The lab will be:

  • a place for educators to experiment, play and determine how new technologies can be used in their teaching practice 
  • a space to explore the future frontiers and understand where technology can lead us as a university through innovations in areas such as generative AI, assistive technologies, visualisation and spatial technologies and more.
